
Bounty Hunter
A third-person shooter I created as part of my masters in Indie Game Development. In this game, you are tasked with tracking down your bounty target in a space port on this desert plant. Taking inspiration from Disney’s The Mandalorian series I focused on adding a jetpack mechanic as the main mechanic of this project.

Key Features

Jet Pack

Allows the player to move around the map freely and quickly but has a limited time. This gives the player ability to approach a situation from multiple angles.

Weapon types

Three weapon types to allow for different styles of play and options during combat

Weapons would need to cool down to add a level of complexity to the combat

AI types

Two main AI types will fight the player and each other when provoked. I added this so the player could have options when approaching a situation, either the player fights through both groups or gets them to fight each other

Objective

The objective of the level is to take down a specific enemy and take them back to the starting area. This enemy is placed in one of the landmarks on the level so that the player will naturally move towards that area and can be disgusted by an easily noticeable colour change on the character model.
